PerthshireOnline.TV & Heartland FM link up..
Heartland FM is entering a new era of broadcasting by working closely with PerthshireOnline.TV. The radio station is committed to being more inclusive of events outside Highland Perthshire and the Perth based business is a natural partner.
A new hour-long 'Perthshire in Profile” programme, produced in conjunction with PerthshireOnline TV, will be broadcast on Heartland every Tuesday, from 31st January. It will feature interviews focusing on Perth and the surrounding area.
Going out on radio between 7pm and 8pm, the programme is repeated on Thursdays 10.00-11.00pm. All the interviews will become available through podcasting after the online and the radio programmes have been to air.
Gavin Sime of PerthshireOnline commented “Unlike normal television, you have complete control over when you choose to watch our shows. The content includes Perthshire people, Perthshire businesses and Perthshire organisations and it’s a very innovative and exciting project for us to work on."
There are benefits for both companies, with Heartland FM pointing PerthshireOnline.TV in the direction of events in Highland Perthshire, as well as supplying interviews which can be adapted for presentation on internet television.
Bruce Patterson, Heartland's Station Manager is enthusiastic about new possibilities gained by the link up. "This is the first in what is hoped to be a close working relationship with internet television. It offers listeners the choice of medium and advertisers the chance to cover all bases." Commenting ahead of the launch Bruce said, "People live busy lives these days and now both radio and online TV is available through iPhones and other devices. We're delighted to be joining forces with PerthshireOnline.TV in this project and look forward to raising Perthshire's profile on a regional, national and global scale."
