ENHANCING OPPORTUNITIES GRANT

Training Support for the Wider Community

Life Skills Centre, Tayside (Life Skills Central Ltd) and Perth & Kinross Council are committed to developing, supporting and promoting Perth & Kinross as a thriving and inclusive economy community where individuals would lke to live, work and visit.  In order to help individuals meet their full employment potential, Perth & Kinross Council has made available funds for industry specific training which will address their individual needs.

The Enhancing Opportunities Grant has been devised to offer the wider community in Perth & Kinross funding for vocational training which is unobtainable by any other means.

The grant has been split into 3 themes:

Training support for individuals who are unemployed

(Up to 100% of the training costs.  A maximum grant of £3,500)

Training support for those in employment / self employment 

(If the annual working income of the household is £22,000 pro rata or less, then up to 100%

of training costs may be met, up to a maximum grant of £2,000)

Discretionary fund

(Consideration will be given to release funds for the purchase of essential tools, equipment or

support services, up to a maximum grant of £1,000)
